This or That is a voting app: you post two options — two photos or two links — and other people vote on which they prefer. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account info. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create your account. If you continue as a guest, we create a random anonymous ID instead — no name or email.
Content you post. Photos, links, and poll questions you create, plus your username and profile photo.
Voting activity. We record which polls you've voted on so you don't vote twice and so we can show you polls you haven't seen. Individual votes are not shown publicly.
How we use your information
To operate the app — show polls, display usernames and photos, and tally votes.
To prevent duplicate voting and keep the feed relevant to you.
To keep the community safe — review reported content and enforce our guidelines.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. Public polls (and their photos, links, and the username of the poster) are visible to everyone. Invite-only polls are visible only to people who have the invite code. We use Firebase (a Google service) to store data and run the app's backend. We may disclose information if required by law.
Content and community
You can report a poll or block another user from the "⋯" menu on any poll. We review reported content and remove anything that violates our guidelines. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users.
Your choices and control
Delete a post. Remove any of your posts anytime from your Profile.
Delete your account. Go to Profile → Delete account to permanently remove your account and your posts.
Stay anonymous. Use guest sign-in to avoid sharing your name or email.
Contact us to request removal of your data.
Children
This or That is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
